About Hotwired Music

Here at Hotwired Music, our small team of staff are passionate about what we do. We are relatively new as a company, but are certainly not novices in terms of experience, expertise and professionalism. We pride ourselves on what we offer and the service we set out to give.

Our first educational product called the “Hotwired Music Production Pack” is on sale now. It is printed and bound “in-house” and by hand which gives each pack a personal touch. Mat Mckinley is involved at every stage of the manufacture as the pack is the culmination of many years of his work. As we self-publish, we have been able to choose eco-friendly printing machines and ink products to ensure we are doing as much as possible to establish an environmentally friendly organisation.

Mat McKinley - Author of the Hotwired Music Production Pack and creator of the Hotwired Live Course

Mat has been a freelance composer, arranger, programmer and performer of music for a wide range of media including TV, Radio, Multi and Interactive Media, Theatre, Modern Dance and Commercial Music production. His work has been heard on the BBC, ITV, Channels 4 and 5, Sky and many other National and European satellite and cable networks. Mat also lectures at Alchemea College of Audio Engineering in London where he teaches music theory and modern composition. Due in part to the success of the courses at Alchemea, he has spent the last 6 years writing a unique and comprehensive series of books to form a “how to” guide regarding modern and creative composition. This pack, the Hotwired Music Production Pack, is included in the Hotwired Live course that Mat has also written and which he hosts. See “Hotwired Live” and “Hotwired Music Production Pack”.

Experience

Mat started learning music at an early age - the piano aged 4, clarinet at 7 and drums at 11. His musical influences encompass virtually every genre and this amalgamation of knowledge and experience has been an invaluable asset in the diverse field of media composition. He has played keys in many bands including live performance and studio session work, but now dedicates far more time to composing in the studio and teaching music. Tuition work involves group classes and individual coaching. Mat’s teaching abilities have been well documented by his fellow professional colleagues and students alike. To date he has taught more than 600 people during the 10 years he has been teaching.
